Terms of UsePrivacy PolicyRefund PolicyCookie PolicyContent PolicyCommunity GuidelinesCopyright & DMCA Policy

These Terms of Use govern your access to Artycen, including its creator publishing tools, Cen AI-assisted creative tools, analytics, memberships, public libraries, channels, and other community features.

By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Content Policy, Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Copyright & DMCA Policy, and Refund Policy.

1. The Service

Artycen is a creative productivity and community platform where users can develop, publish, organize, discover, and discuss creative work. Features may include article and series publishing, creator analytics, Cen-assisted ideation and writing, character and worldbuilding tools, public creative libraries, bookmark collections, and creator-operated community channels.

We may improve, replace, limit, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, maintenance, or product development. Material changes to paid benefits will be communicated where required by law.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Artycen. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Service only with any consent required from a parent or guardian. You must be at least 18, or the higher age of adulthood in your jurisdiction, to access or publish adult content.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Accounts may not be sold, shared, or transferred without our permission.

3. Free and Paid Memberships

Artycen may offer a free plan and paid Creator or Creator Pro memberships. Current prices, billing periods, usage allowances, and included benefits are shown on the pricing and checkout pages before purchase. Usage limits may include Cen generations, publishing tools, analytics, series, collections, channels, and other premium features.

Membership access is personal to the purchasing account. You may not resell access, automate excessive use, evade limits, pool accounts, or use the Service in a way that degrades availability for others. Unused monthly allowances do not roll over unless explicitly stated.

4. Billing, Lemon Squeezy, and Taxes

Paid memberships are sold and processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record and authorized reseller for the transaction. Lemon Squeezy handles checkout, payment processing, receipts, applicable sales taxes, subscription administration, and eligible refunds under its terms.

The total price, currency, billing interval, and applicable taxes are displayed at checkout. Your transaction is also governed by the Lemon Squeezy Terms. Artycen does not directly receive or store your full payment card number.

5. Automatic Renewal and Cancellation

Paid memberships renew automatically at the billing interval presented at checkout until canceled. By subscribing, you authorize Lemon Squeezy to charge the payment method on file for each renewal, including applicable taxes.

You may cancel at any time through Artycen's billing management link, the Lemon Squeezy customer portal, or the link in your transaction email. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You retain paid access until that date and will not be charged for the next period.

Deleting your Artycen account does not by itself guarantee cancellation of an active subscription. Cancel the subscription through the billing portal before deleting your account.

6. Refunds

Refund eligibility, statutory withdrawal rights, technical-defect refunds, and request procedures are explained in our Refund Policy. Except where required by law or approved under that policy, subscription charges are non-refundable and we do not provide automatic prorated refunds for unused time.

7. Cen AI-Assisted Creative Tools

Cen is intended to assist human creativity. It may generate drafts, outlines, reviews, characters, settings, dialogue, and other creative suggestions from information you provide. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, offensive, or similar to existing material. You must review and edit output before relying on or publishing it.

Artycen does not guarantee the originality, copyrightability, availability, quality, or fitness of AI output. You are responsible for checking facts, rights, permissions, disclosures, and legal compliance. Cen must not be used for unlawful activity, professional advice, harmful automation, security circumvention, or infringement.

Availability and generation speed may vary by demand, safety controls, maintenance, and third-party infrastructure. A generation may count toward your allowance once processing has begun, even if you choose not to use the result.

8. Your Content and Creative Ownership

As between you and Artycen, you retain the rights you hold in content, prompts, project information, and creative work you submit. You grant Artycen a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, transmit, format, and distribute that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, promote, and improve the Service according to your settings.

Public content may appear in feeds, search, recommendations, profiles, previews, channels, and public Cen libraries. Removing a post from a channel removes the channel association and does not necessarily delete the creator's original post.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit and publish your content. Artycen does not acquire ownership of your content merely because you use paid or AI-assisted features.

9. AI Improvement Participation

A project may include an AI improvement participation setting. Where enabled, eligible project inputs, generation outputs, and satisfaction feedback may be reviewed or processed to evaluate and improve Cen. Participation can be changed through the relevant project settings. Content marked as not eligible is not selected for that improvement workflow, although it may still be processed to provide the requested generation and retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Community Channels and Conduct

Eligible members may create and administer channels. Channel owners and staff may establish additional rules, manage memberships, and remove content from their channel, but they may not override Artycen policies or applicable law. Channel administrators are not Artycen employees or agents unless expressly identified otherwise.

You must follow our Content Policy and Community Guidelines. Prohibited conduct includes illegal content, exploitation of minors, non-consensual intimate material, infringement, fraud, impersonation, harassment, malware, scraping, limit evasion, and attempts to compromise accounts, prompts, models, moderation, payments, or platform security.

11. Moderation and Account Action

We may label, restrict, remove, preserve, or disable content and may limit, suspend, or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce policies, comply with law, prevent harm or fraud, protect the Service, or investigate reports. Suspension for policy violations does not automatically create a right to a refund.

12. Intellectual Property

Artycen's software, branding, interface, and platform materials are owned by or licensed to Artycen. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service; they do not transfer our intellectual property to you.

Copyright notices may be sent to dmca@artycen.com. See our Copyright & DMCA Policy for the required information.

13. Privacy and Third-Party Services

Our Privacy Policy explains how account, content, AI, community, analytics, and subscription information is processed. The Service uses third-party infrastructure for hosting, authentication, storage, payments, analytics, security, and AI processing. Those providers may process information under their own applicable terms and privacy obligations.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Artycen disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Artycen and its operators, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity arising from the Service. Our aggregate liability relating to paid Service use will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected membership during the preceding twelve months, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

16. Termination and Changes

You may stop using Artycen at any time. Provisions concerning ownership, licenses, payment obligations, moderation records, disclaimers, liability, and disputes survive termination where their nature requires.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by reasonable means and will apply from the stated effective date. If you do not agree, you should cancel your membership and stop using the Service before the changes take effect.

17. Contact

Questions about these Terms, billing access, or the Service may be sent to contact@artycen.com.
