This Privacy Policy explains how Artycen collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information when you use its publishing, AI-assisted creative, analytics, membership, and community services.

1. Information We Collect

Account and profile information

We collect information such as your email address, username, display name, profile content, authentication records, birthdate, settings, account status, and plan status.

Creative and community content

We collect articles, drafts, images, comments, messages, reports, bookmarks, channel activity, characters, worlds, relationships, project fields, tags, labels, and related metadata that you submit or create.

Cen AI information

To provide Cen, we process the project information, creative instructions, prompts, reference material, revision notes, generated outputs, usage counts, error records, and satisfaction or dissatisfaction feedback associated with a generation.

Subscription and transaction information

We receive limited billing information from Lemon Squeezy, such as customer and subscription identifiers, product or plan, transaction status, billing period, cancellation status, currency, and timestamps. Lemon Squeezy processes your checkout and full payment details as Merchant of Record. Artycen does not store your complete card number.

Usage, device, and analytics information

We may collect page and post views, clicks, engagement, referrers, approximate region, IP address, browser, device, operating system, language, access times, diagnostics, security events, and cookie or local-storage identifiers, subject to applicable consent requirements.

When you create an account or sign in, Artycen may process your account-linked service activity, including post views, profile views, engagement, reading progress, and related usage data, to provide creator analytics, operate the Service, improve recommendations, maintain security, and improve product quality. Visitors who are not signed in may still be counted in basic aggregate view totals, while more detailed analytics for such visitors are used according to applicable consent choices.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide, authenticate, personalize, and secure the Service.
  • Store and display creative work according to your visibility choices.
  • Generate, revise, format, and save requested Cen results.
  • Apply membership benefits, generation allowances, and access limits.
  • Process subscription lifecycle events, cancellations, and support.
  • Operate channels, libraries, search, feeds, recommendations, and analytics.
  • Investigate reports, enforce policies, and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Diagnose errors, measure performance, and improve accessibility and usability.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect users and third parties.

3. AI Processing and Improvement Choices

When you request a Cen generation, the information needed to fulfill the request is transmitted to an AI infrastructure provider acting on our behalf. Do not include secrets, payment credentials, government identifiers, health records, or other sensitive personal information that is not necessary for your creative task.

Artycen may retain prompts, project context, outputs, usage metadata, and feedback in your generation history and operational records. If AI improvement participation is enabled for a project, eligible inputs, outputs, and feedback may also be selected to evaluate quality and improve Cen. If participation is disabled, that material is not selected for the optional improvement workflow, but it is still processed to fulfill your request and may be retained for history, security, support, accounting, and legal purposes.

You can change the project's improvement setting. Changing it does not necessarily remove material already lawfully used in an earlier completed evaluation, aggregated analysis, or model-development process.

4. Legal Bases

Depending on your location, we rely on performance of our contract, legitimate interests, consent, and compliance with legal obligations. Contract processing includes providing accounts, paid benefits, AI generations, publishing, and community functionality. Legitimate interests include security, moderation, fraud prevention, service improvement, and enforcing our Terms.

5. How We Share Information

Public and user-directed sharing

Public profiles, articles, comments, libraries, channel posts, and other content you designate as public can be viewed, copied, indexed, or shared by others. Private project information is not made public solely because it is used with Cen.

Service providers

We share only information reasonably needed with providers supporting hosting, databases, authentication, storage, email, analytics, security, content delivery, customer support, and AI processing. They process data under contractual or legal obligations applicable to their services.

Lemon Squeezy

Lemon Squeezy processes checkout, payments, taxes, receipts, subscription management, fraud checks, chargebacks, and refunds under its own Privacy Policy. Artycen and Lemon Squeezy each process the transaction information needed for their respective responsibilities.

Legal, safety, and business transfers

We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate fraud or harm, enforce our policies, or protect rights and safety. Information may also transfer during a merger, financing, restructuring, acquisition, or sale, subject to applicable protections.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and similar technologies for sessions, preferences, security, consent choices, billing flow, performance, and analytics. For signed-in users, account-linked internal analytics may be used to provide creator statistics, improve the Service, and maintain security. For visitors who are not signed in, basic aggregate view counts may be recorded without detailed identifiers, while more detailed analytics are used subject to the choices and consent mechanisms described in our Cookie Policy.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to operate your account and features, maintain generation and transaction histories, resolve disputes, enforce policies, prevent abuse, and meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Billing and audit records may be retained after cancellation or account deletion where legally or operationally required.

Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, moderation records, fraud records, and legally required archives. Public content may also persist in copies made by other users or external services.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your credentials and promptly reporting suspected account compromise.

9. International Transfers

Artycen and its providers may process information outside your country. Where required, appropriate contractual, organizational, or legal safeguards are used for international transfers.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, withdraw consent, or receive a portable copy of personal information. You may update certain data in settings and may contact us for other requests. We may verify your identity and retain information where permitted or required by law.

You may cancel a paid membership through billing management, change AI improvement participation per project, manage personalized advertising and external-activity personalization choices, control public visibility, and delete eligible generation history through available product controls.

11. Children and Adult Content

Artycen is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Users under 18 may not access adult content. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to this policy.

12. U.S. State and International Privacy Rights

Residents of the EEA, United Kingdom, California, and other jurisdictions may have additional statutory rights, including the right to complain to a local data protection authority. Artycen does not sell personal information for money. If our practices change in a way that requires additional notices or opt-out mechanisms, we will provide them.

13. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy as the Service, providers, or law changes. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means where required. Privacy questions and rights requests may be sent to contact@artycen.com. Copyright notices should be sent to dmca@artycen.com.
